The Shops’ Hot Seat

Each issue we’ll feature one of our employees, from the newest student employees to the senior staff members in any of our units and offices!

This Week: Sylvia Ferracioli: Administrative Services Coordinator, Bookstore Services

Beach Bytes: How long have you been with the Shops?
Sylvia Ferracioli: 13 years on August 20, 2013

BB: What does your first name mean?
SF: Spirit of the Wood

BB: What is the last thing you bought from the Shops?
SF: Lunch at the Nugget

BB: What was your major or your favorite school subject?
SF: Literature

BB: What is your favorite type of music? Your favorite song?
SF: My mother was an opera singer but she loved all music, so I have a great love for most forms of music and cannot narrow it down.  There are too many wonderful songs to narrow it down to one favorite, but I do love operatic arias and American Standards.

BB: What three words describe you best?
SF: Independent, inquisitive, creative

BB: What are your favorite hobbies? If none, what do you do outside of work and/or school?
SF: Watching movies, reading, spending time with friends

BB: Are you a cat lover or a dog lover? Do you have any pets?
SF: I love animals and currently have two cats, Mimi and Sundae.

BB: What’s the best piece of advice someone has ever given you?
SF: Don’t wait for the future to happen, make it happen on your own.

Have an announcement for the Shops family, and/or want to be featured in a future issue? Please email FNS-Communications@csulb.edu with “Beach Bytes” in the subject line!
